Happy Friday everyone!

Hopefully you are recovering from the overindulgence from yesterday’s Thanksgiving feast as we are! The holiday season is a great time to spend with family and friends, reflecting on the blessingsĀ from the past year and looking forward to a new year of adventures.

This season is also a time when many people begin thinking about goals for the coming year and ways to improve their health, finances, relationships etc.

One of my goals for the next twelve months is to continue educating myself on current trends, research and information the field of health so I can be better equipped to help you!

In that regard, I recently had a chance to screen a new documentary by Jeff Hays called “Bought”. This is the same director who brought us the film “Doctored” (another fantastic film) and picks up where Doctored left off. It delves into the extensive and insidious ways big money and lobbying interests have steered food, health care and drug policy and practices through the past two decades. While convoluted at times, Mr. Hays skillfully weaves a story that shows the depths to which highly connected interests have steered our food sources and health policies to create massive food and drug oligarchies that create profit at the expense of the health of its citizens like you and me. At any rate, like Food Inc or King Corn that came before it, Bought is well worth the watching both to educate and inspire change.

While it has not yet been released to the public, the movie “Bought” can be reviewed and purchased at the link below:
